Colin Dow

Colin has been a programmer since early home computers caught his eye. He has worked as a software developer for some of Canada’s largest companies using technologies such as Python, Java, J2EE, PHP, Pearl, Ruby on Rails, Apache, SOAP, Web Services, etc. He is excited by the accessibility of computers and software and the real-world applications they facilitate. Colin is also an aerospace enthusiast and currently runs his own model aerospace company. He has enjoyed working with numerous educational facilities and hobbyists in delivering product sales, presentations and aerospace workshops over the years. Colin has become an advocate for science and technology. With his book he hopes to inspire the young and the young-at-heart, by providing them a glimpse into the possibilities at hand.
