Colten White is a life-long outdoorsman who became a falconer to get closer to nature than he ever had before. As a resident of Lincoln, Nebraska, he hawks in the rolling hills, riparian woods, and agricultural landscape of the Great Plains. Beyond hawking, hunting, fishing, hiking, and other outdoor pursuits – White is a campfire philosopher. He also teaches writing, research methods, debate, and public speaking at a public high school. An alumnus of the University of Nebraska, he was the university’s first national debate champion since the team was founded in 1871. He has taught philosophy and debate internationally in China, South Korea, and Japan and develops topics and educational materials for philosophical debate for the National Speech & Debate Association. His favorite classroom is the open air, land, and waters of Nebraska. His favored teachers just so happen to have feathers.
