CONSTANCE CASEY, MDiv., is a graduate of the Spirit Rock Community Dharma Leader Training Program and was empowered to teach by Jack Kornfield and Trudy Goodman. Constance obtained a Masters of Divinity from Naropa University in 2016, where she is also endorsed to teach Mindfulness Meditation Instruction. Constance’s practice is primarily informed by the suttas in Theravāda Buddhism. Her long-term engagement in Twelve Step Recovery, Christian contemplative, and Sōtō Zen practices have also affected her open way of teaching. Constance volunteered compassionate care for hundreds of people, including dying patients and their families as an interfaith hospital chaplain. Grief and loss, as well as joy and peacefulness, are natural expressions of being human and authentically free. Through her experience with addiction counseling, she respects and values your unique spiritual practice and journey while supporting you to find balance and significance in the face of adversity. Constance will encourage you to attune toward being more mindful and aware for release and serenity. Speaking engagements, group teaching, and individual sessions are all part of Constance’s mentoring practice. Constance lives with her family, including their pup, in the home they continue to renovate together.
