Corky Binggeli is an interior designer and educator with a Masters in Interior Design from the Boston Architectural College (BAC). She is a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Her firm, Corky Binggeli Interior Design, has designed restaurants, fitness clubs, hair salons, ice cream stores and other people-oriented spaces, as well as educational, municipal, and research facility interiors. Corky has taught interior design courses at the BAC, as well as at Wentworth Institute of Technology and Mount Ida College. Her interior design textbooks and reference books are based on her professional experience as well as her understanding of curriculum and teaching methods. Her specialty is writing clearly and appealingly about technical subjects. Her books are profusely illustrated with artwork that supports the learning process. Building Systems for Interior Designers, 3rd edition, has been published by John Wiley and Sons in the winter of 2016. Corky's work sometimes includes the design and fabrication of custom decorative objects, notably a 28-foot-long iguana and many giant vegetables. She has also created custom painted finishes, textile hangings, and other unique pieces for her projects.
