Dr. Craig Detweiler is President of The Wedgwood Circle. He's a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Davidson College and earned an M.F.A. from the University of Southern California's acclaimed film school. His newest book, Selfies: Searching for the Image of God in a Digital Age received a 2019 Award of Merit in "Culture and the Arts" from Christianity Today. His previous books include iGods: How Technology Shapes Our Spiritual and Social Lives, Halos and Avatars: Playing Video Game with God, and Into the Dark: Seeing the Sacred in the Top Films of the 21st Century. Craig's cultural commentary has appeared on ABC's Nightline, CNN, Fox News, Al Jazeera, NPR, and in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. As a filmmaker, his award winning documentaries build bridges across cultures from Remind (narrated by Angela Bassett), to Purple State of Mind and (un)Common Sounds: Peace Through Music.
