Cullen Gallagher

Cullen Gallagher is a musician and writer living in Brooklyn, NY. He has written essays for many Stark House Press books, including volumes by W.R. Burnett, Day Keene, Ed Lacy, Peter Rabe, Lionel White, and Harry Whittington. His non-fiction has appeared in the Los Angeles Review of Books, Paris Review, Not Coming to a Theater Near You, and the anthologies Paperbacks at War: 20th Century Conflict from the Front Lines of Vintage Paperbacks, Pulps and Comics (2021) edited by Justin Marriott, Screen Slate: New York City Cinema 2011-2015 (2017) edited by Jon Dieringer, and Cult Cinema: An Arrow Video Companion (2016) edited by Anthony Nield. He is also the co-author (with Kevin L. Stoeher) of King Vidor in Focus: On the Filmmaker’s Artistry and Vision (McFarland Books, 2024).
