"Hometown Appetites" was co-written with Kelly Alexander. The book made the 2009 Kansas Notable Book List and won the 2010 J. Donald Coffin Memorial Award. Cynthia Harris is a retired Processing Archivist. When she worked at the Kansas State University Archives, she processed the Clementine Paddleford papers. Harris is a veteran of the United States Women's Army Corps and the United States Regular Army. She lives in Kansas with her husband and furry pets and has one adult child.
