D. Dave Churchill

A native Californian, I was raised by a single mother in the Rust Belt. I spent my life trying to fit in. My only ambition was to be tan and blonde. Upon graduation I returned to California to reclaim my birthright. I lived at the beach. I was Seal Beach Dave, I was Church in Laguna Beach and West Hollywood. On the volleyball courts in Manhattan Beach I was Hollywood Dave- a wink to my homosexuality, then living in WeHo. In retirement I am a nomad who lives in an Airstream Travel Trailer, usually at the beach. I no longer try to fit in. This is my first book. I left family and friends to unplug and focus on writing this book. I survived back-to-back strokes in 2016. Because there is already a published author named David Churchill, a novelist from Britain, I’ve chosen to publish under a new name. D. David Churchill.
