D Marie

D Marie enjoyed teaching school and taught for over thirty years. During that time, she helped hundreds of children learn how to read. She incorporated various educational methods some self-made (besides the given reading curriculum) to develop the joy of reading. Sometimes she gave up part of her lunch hour to teach one on one. After retiring for teaching, she has visited several classrooms sharing writing techniques with students for the Young Authors Program. She is still sharing her joy for teaching by tutoring 5 and 6 year olds how to read. D Marie lives in the Midwest with her husband and family. D designed these inspirational books as a learning tool to nurture Christian character and living. Book 1, Journey to the Glass Hill, is based on the Norwegian folktale, Princess on the Glass Hill. Book 2, in the Journey Books for Faith and Family series, is Journey to the Noble Horse. The conclusion of the trilogy is Journey in the Waiting. Although the books are written for intermediate grade readers, (she earned two degrees in education not writing classes) adults enjoy the books, too. Adults are the ones writing the reviews.
