Click 'follow' to be notified about new books by DM Potter. Deb Potter lives in New Zealand, which is just above Antarctica, but isn’t quite as cold. She writes and publishes You Say Which Way interactive fiction. She writes plays, non-fiction and short stories, and she writes pointy-head articles that people only read if they get paid to. She has four pet chickens: Eggatha Christie, Helen Cluck, She Rex and Susan. You Say Which Way interactive fiction books are for readers aged 10 to 12 years. Readers love making their own choices. Decision fiction offers a chance to take risks. Using second person narrative makes the books gender neutral and allows kids from any background to step right into a story. 'Once Upon an Island' was the first You Say Which Way book. It's set on a remote island in New Zealand. It's a bundle of fantasy adventures that start in realistic ways. 'In the Magician's House' allows the reader to explore a house which can change along with the story. 'Between the Stars' and 'Stranded Starship' are sci fi adventures that open up a galaxy of choices. Potter teamed up with writer Blair Polly to create other interactive books including Lost in Lion Country, Pirate Island and Secrets of Glass Mountain. Along came Peter friend, Eileen Mueller and Kevin Berry and the stories kept coming. Deb has a certificate in Children’s Literature from Christchurch College of Education and a Masters in Creative Writing from Victoria University's IMML.
