DaJuan Harris is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with over 20 years of experience in healthcare. At an early age, DaJuan discovered that his calling was to work in the medical field. Upon graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Navy to become a hospital corpsman (HM). While at sea on the USS Wasp, DaJuan met a CRNA, and their discussion sparked the beginning of his journey to becoming a nurse anesthetist. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, DaJuan immediately pursued a degree in nursing. He went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing as well as a graduate degree in business. After 10 years as a nurse in various settings and positions (i.e. cardiac step down unit, medical surgical unit, corrections nurse, nurse supervisor, and nurse manager), DaJuan decided to chase his dream of becoming a CRNA. He attended Wolford College (now Keiser University) in Naples, Florida, where he received his Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia. DaJuan found his passion in anesthesia. Outside of his life as a nurse anesthetist, DaJuan is also an author, an entrepreneur—Nursepreneur as he calls it—a foodie, and an adventurer who loves seeing the world and tasting great cuisines. He looks forwards to writing many more books and engaging with his audience. Follow DaJuan on Instagram @CNA2CRNA.
