Dale Wheatley

Dale is an independent filmmaker, author, and educator, known for the cult indie movie Don's Plum, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire. Dale taught independent film production at UGA Grady School of Journalism where he discovered a love for teaching. Dale continues to support and cultivate independent film wherever and whenever possible, with a particular affection for mind-bending experimental projects. Dale is currently writing his debut novel for release in the fall of 2026.
