Dan Houze

DAN HOUZE is a leadership mentor, retired pastor, and church planter. He began his early career in banking. Wanting to try his hand as an entrepreneur, he began his own business in 1981 and sold it in 1986. Houze then earned a Master of Arts in Christian Education (MACE) from Dallas Theological Seminary. While attending seminary, Dan was the lead pastor in a church plant in Rockwall, Texas, until his graduation. In 2000, along with three other families, the Houzes planted a church in Columbus, Indiana, where he was the lead pastor for twenty-one years until moving back to Texas to be closer to family. Throughout his career, Houze has served on and consulted with several nonprofit boards. With his passion for quality leadership, he has consistently taught leadership development classes and mentored many emerging leaders through the years. Dan has been married to his wife, Kim, for forty-three years. They have two married sons and four grandchildren.
