This is a place where different is the aim of the game. These stories should take you to strange places like Firmont and introduce you to odd friends like Jerry. Not everyone will like Firmont or Jerry - especially Jerry - and that's ok. Firmont doesn't have any people and Jerry doesn't have a brain, so he won't mind. But no matter how much you like each story, at least you'll be able to say - “Well, that was a bit different.” Dan lives in Delaware with 3 Hooligans, 1 wife, and a lot of memories of their dog Roger who left too soon. Dan got into picture books by helping inventors write very serious picture books for their patents. Dan was sad that no one would read his serious picture books even though they're all free. Something different was needed.
