With nearly 20 years of pizza making experience and five James Beard Award nominations under his belt, Dan Richer shares his knowledge and expertise in his first book, “The Joy of Pizza.” He has dedicated his professional career to understanding the intricacies of pizza and practicing the craft daily. Dan opened Razza in 2012 in Jersey City, New Jersey. Pete Wells of the New York Times gave the restaurant a three star review in 2017, asking the question, “Is the best pizza in New York in New Jersey?” Razza was named Best Pizza in North America by 50Best in 2019, and was recently featured on the Netflix series “Somebody Feed Phil.” Dan currently lives in New Jersey with his wife and children. He’s a huge proponent of local and sustainable agriculture and believes that location dictates your food supply.
