Dana Klein, is a self taught artist with a camera and has been honing her skills in conceptual portrait photography for the past 10 years. Originally an internationally known pencil portrait artist for the loss community, Dana blends her compassion to help others and eye for storytelling, bringing about a perfect marriage of her two passions. Dana’s evolution into storytelling, digital composites allows her to introduce another element to this union and extend the range of her talent even further. Her passion for ‘finding the story; allows Dana to challenge the boundaries of portrait photography - utilizing personal experiences of pain, struggle and triumphs and weaving them together with visual messages of hope, strength and resilience. Klein is an active member within her community and continues finding ways to support her local community through projects like The Red Umbrella Scavenger Hunt - helping small businesses through a pandemic as well as Project SHINE - photographing breast cancer survivors and creating awareness around the need for emotional healing after a diagnosis.
