Dane Deutsch

Biography of Dane A. Deutsch Dane Deutsch is a proven leader, coach, and expert in character development, with over four decades of experience across coaching, technology, and military service. As a former U.S. Air Force officer and IT specialist, Deutsch led teams of over 1,200 people in implementing groundbreaking technology like ARPANET, the forerunner to the modern internet. He uses his leadership experience to help others grow as leaders with integrity and impact. Dane has a double major in Physical Education and Health from Bemidji, MN. He completed undergraduate work in Pre-Medicine while completing his United States Air Force commission in ROTC at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. He earned a Master’s Degree in Information Communications Technology from UW Stout. Dane is the CEO and President of Deutsch’s Inc. Over the last 35 years, Dane and his wife have trained thousands of children in the sport and discipline of gymnastics at Deutsch's Gymnastics Training Center, with the goal of teaching and coaching children character, discipline, and leadership. Driven by his belief that character is the foundation of leadership, Deutsch founded Leadership and Management Development in Character (LMDC) to teach leaders how to balance technical expertise with values-based leadership. His goal is to empower readers to achieve success and make a lasting, positive difference in the lives of others. Dane is a retired instructor from the University of Wisconsin Stout in Menomonie, WI., where he taught Cyber Technology Ethics. Dane is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Scout. In 2010 and again in 2014, he ran for political office as a candidate for the Wisconsin State Senate. Dane and his wife, Katharine Joy, have been married for 47 years and have four grown children, Tobiah, Moses, Sarah, and Israel, as well as ten grandchildren. They currently make their home in Rice Lake, WI. Whether managing IT infrastructure for an entire country, coaching athletes at his gymnastics academy, or climbing Mt. Ararat, Deutsch’s life experiences provide the practical insights shared in his books: The Tricycle Effect, Coach-Ability and the Tricycle Effect. His lessons blend character-building, coaching, and leadership into a powerful framework for success.
