Daniel David Elles qualified to be on the ballot for Michigan's House of Representative – as an “Independent” – in Macomb County's 31st District. Daniel is a globally recognized author – as seen on Google – who has lived/worked overseas (Europe, Hong Kong and Singapore) for fifteen years. He and his beloved Pug, Elvis, now live in Sterling Heights, Michigan. He now works in The Renaissance Center located on Downtown Detroit’s beautiful International Riverfront. Together with his Goddaughter Danica (illustrator) and Godson Dominic (story editor) they publish the award winning children’s series “The Adventures of Elvis the Pug”. Every year Daniel and Elvis visit over 5,000 children for National Reading Month and for events at various children’s hospital. "Bullies R Bad...KIDS R KOOL!" has helped kids to learn that bullying is bad. His goal is to STOP BULLYING, to help children enjoy READING, and to bring awareness the children suffering from ADHD, Asperger, Autism, Diabetes, Downs, Dyslexia, MS,etc. are just as normal as everyone. He promotes: "There is NO normal" Daniel was a second founding member of Sequent (acquired by IBM), first international director at NetLabs (acquired by Seagate), first international director for China’s largest computer company (Stone: Beijing), Mercury Asia-Pacific (acquired by HP) and Director for Fortune 500 companies: Unisys Hong Kong and Ogilvy & Mather (Singapore). Daniel was captain of St. Clair High School’s Hall of Fame football team, an elected Executive Council member of the Delta Chi Fraternity at Michigan State University and a graduate of the prestigious United States Marine Corp’s (USMC) Officer Candidates School, Platoon Leaders Class (PLC), at Quantico. After returning State-side, Daniel served on the Board of Directors for various charities (i.e. the local chapters for ALS and Habitat for Humanity) and the quasi-government Clinton Township Downtown Development Authority (DDA). And, as the grandson of Mexican immigrants, he also tutored Hispanic families at Macomb Literacy Partners. Daniel is also a Master Mason in Freemasonry. Please feel free to contact me. I love to help children read and aspiring authors. I do many speaking engagements year round.
