Henry Mims was born in Pensacola, FL, and grew up in a household that valued humor, resilience, and strength. Raised by his Cuban mother and Southern father, Henry faced early challenges, including a battle with spinal meningitis that left him deaf by age three and the loss of his father during his teens. These trials, and the enduring support of his mother and stepfather, instilled in him a deep appreciation for family and self-determination. A gifted storyteller, Henry's writing journey began with Mad Libs and grew into a passion for storytelling inspired by life’s profound silences and the works of Hemingway and Kerouac. When Henry and Danielle found each other, their connection sparked a new chapter—one rooted in shared values, deep love, and the commitment to build a life of intention and purpose. Married in a heartfelt ceremony on January 3, 2021, they now share their insights on love, resilience, and relationship-building in More Than Love Notes & Laughter: Hen & Dani’s Guide to Building a Relationship Beyond the Ordinary.
