Danqi Liu

Danqi was born and raised in Harbin, China. She moved to the Netherlands to attend her graduate school in Delft and fell in love with the city and the country. After 8 years of living in the Netherlands, she met her husband in Amsterdam and later moved to the US. They have a cheerful toddler and are now living in Granite Bay, California. "Raising my own bilingual child has reinforced my belief in the power of language and magic of storytelling. One of the driving forces behind my books is to provide children like my own, with relatable Asian characters in stories go beyond Asian cultures and festivities.
