Darcy R. Gleisberg was raised in the small town of Julian, California. Her stories and her style are largely shaped by the rich characters, tall tales, and vivid landscapes of her hometown. She also draws on her love for the country of Mexico and her time spent between borders. Gleisberg lives outside Seattle, Washington, with her husband, two sons, and a small and needy zoo of pets.
