Dare Nwaka

Dare Nwaka is a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and General Ultrasound Technologist (RDMS) with over 20 years of clinical experience and 5 years of educational experience. Dare graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Physiology. Dare pursued a post-baccalaureate program at George Washington University in 2003 where she obtained her certification in Diagnostic Ultrasound. With a passion for people’s health, Dare pursued a master’s in public health from Capella University and graduated in 2017. She is currently completing her Doctor of Education program at Capella University. Dare worked at the Walter Reed Medical Center for 4 years as a Vascular Technologist, at Holy Cross Hospital, Maryland as the General, Vascular, and Obstetrics Ultrasound supervisor for over 8 years, at Kaiser Permanente, Maryland as a Vascular Technologist for 10 years, and currently teaches Vascular and Physics courses at Northern Virginia Community College and University of Maryland Baltimore Campus Training Centers. Dare is also the author of Vascular Technology Made Simple (2018). During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family. She lives in the state of Maryland with her husband and children.
