Dariush H Zadeh

Dariush Habibollah Zadeh (or simply Dariush H. Zadeh) was born in the city of Ardebil (or Ardabil or “Arta Ville” meaning “Holly City”), province of Azerbaijan (or Azarbaijan meaning “Home to Fire”) in North-West of Iran in 1953. His parents moved to the city of Tehran during his childhood where he finished his schools. He completed his secondary education at the Alborz high school which was founded by American James Bassett in 1873, re-organized as high school by Dr. Samuel Jordan (1899-1940) and finally supervised by Dr. Mohammad Ali Mojtahedi (1944–1978). The school was probably one of the best high schools in Iran at the time. Then Dariush was admitted to the Sharif University of Technology (formerly known as Arya Mehr University of Technology) in Tehran where he completed his BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering in 1978 and 1984. After Islamic Revolution in Iran, Dariush immigrated to the United States and landed in the in the city of New Orleans, State of Louisiana in 1985. He completed his second master degree (MS) in Mathematics and then a third Master degree and a Doctorate degree (MS and PhD) in Theoretical Physical Chemistry at the University of New Orleans (UNO-LSU) by 1993. Then he moved to the state of New York working under a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Buffalo (UB) which is one of the State Universities of New York (SUNY-UB). Then he was employed at the SUNY-Erie (or Erie community colleges, ECC) and worked there for more than twenty years, teaching courses in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Finally, Dariush retired in fall 2018.
