DARRYL R. BRELAND is a father and grandfather and a lifelong Mississippian. He began writing as a hobby in 2014 with the publication of UnLucky Double, a two-part series about a fictional character drafted by the Italian mob because he, unfortunately, resembled the infamous Lucky Luciano. Starlie’s Tragedy to Triumph is his third book, a collection of stories based on actual events involving Darryl’s mother, Starlie, or her descendants. His latest works include a series of children’s books, The Adventures of Kalamazoo, beginning with, Me and You and Kalamazoo.
