Dear readers, welcome to my author's page! My name is Darya Gunay. I'm a linguist and a language teacher. I hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Language Teaching (Ukrainian & English). I am also certified as a Teacher of Russian as a Foreign Language by the International Centre of Russian Language. Initially trained as a teacher, I've always been keen on going beyond traditional school setting and getting into e-learning. My career path took me to various roles in online education, content creation, and communications field. My language projects allow me to unite 2 passions – for languages and for knowledge creation/sharing. While teaching, I realized that there was a lack of good materials, so I started to create them myself. The materials available to me seemed too scattered, too repetitive or not adapted to foreigners at all. My textbooks explain complex things about my native languages in an easy way. I am on a mission to make my books accessible to foreign learners via publishing in various languages. Speaking 4 languages myself - Ukrainian, Russian, English, and French - and raising a quadrilingual kid, I am a strong supporter of multilingual approach to education as it allows us to thrive in the global, hyper-connected world.
