Dave Hunter

Dave Hunter is a writer and musician who has worked extensively in the UK and the USA. He is the author of The Guitar Amp Handbook, The British Amp Invasion, Guitar Effects Pedals, Amped, The Fender Telecaster, The Gibson Les Paul, The Fender Stratocaster, The Guitar Pickup Handbook, Ultimate Star Guitars, and several other titles. Dave is also a regular contributor to Guitar Player, Vintage Guitar, and Premier Guitar magazines in the USA and The Guitar Magazine in the UK, and is a contributing essayist to the United States Library of Congress National Recording Preservation Board's Permanent Archive. Hunter lives in Portsmouth, NH, with his wife and their two children, where he also fronts the new original band A Different Engine (aptly described by Joe the drummer as "post-punk power-pop").
