Hi, I'm David H. Barnette. After graduating from Syracuse University, I served with the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. College was more fun. After many years as a federal civilian employee, I now write full time. I live in Portsmouth, New Hampshire with my wife Judy and two spoiled cats (Oscar and Aggie). "The Next World Over," the first novel in the Nextworld trilogy, begins in Portsmouth as it was in the 1980s. Book two, "The Next World Under," begins in Portsmouth as it is today. The third book in the Nextworld series, "The Next World Out," picks up shortly after the events of the second book. I don't think you have to read the first book to enjoy the second-- or read the first and second to enjoy the third, but I'm pretty sure you'll at least triple your pleasure if you read all of them. (I would think that, right?) And you don't have to read the Nextworld Trilogy to enjoy the Portsmouth Paranormal Romances. "Binding Beth," my most recent book is the third Portsmouth Paranormal Romance. "Joining Janjan" is the second book of this trilogy and "Loving Leda" is the first. These books are published by Piscataqua Press and take place in the same fictional universe as the Nextworld trilogy. I've had a lot of fun writing these books. I hope you have fun reading them.
