INCREDIBLE JOURNEYS was published in 2019 - by Hodder & Stoughton in the UK, and by The Experiment (under the title SUPERNAVIGATORS) in the US. It was chosen as Nature Book of the Year by The Sunday Times. It’s already been translated into Spanish, German, Polish and Russian; Mandarin and Japanese versions are on their way. SUPERNAVIGATORS was honoured with both a Gold and Silver Nautilus Award in 2020. The Royal Institute of Navigation has honoured it with their Certificate of Achievement. My previous book SEXTANT (2014) celebrates the vital role played by this beautiful instrument in the the exploration and mapping of the world. It's is an unusual mixture of personal memoir, history, adventure and science. It too won the Royal Institute of Navigation’s Certificate of Achievement, and was shortlisted for the Mountbatten Literary Prize.
