As an author, musician and Airbnb Superhost, David Boe has a history of innovative thinking. In his first book, "How To Improve Your Chops Without Playing A Note," he discovered that a muscle development strategy long utilized by athletes and bodybuilders could also apply to the highly refined, delicate musculature of trained musicians. This insight led to a series of exercises for the mouth and throat that allows players of wind instruments to strengthen and improve the condition of their "embouchure" without their instrument, in a way that also saves valuable practice time. This focus on muscle development for musicians led to another insight in the seemingly unrelated field of snoring. Mr. Boe found that rigorous application of mouth and throat exercises was an effective remedy for snoring. In other books he related his expertise as an Airbnb Superhost, and as a local area tour guide in Portland, Oregon. The common thread of his work is to inspire and facilitate personal growth.
