David Feela is a poet, free-lance writer, writing instructor, and book collector. His work has appeared in hundreds of regional and national publications, including the High Country News' "Writers on the Range," Mountain Gazette, Small Farmer's Journal, Utne Reader, and as a "Colorado Voice" for The Denver Post. For 30 years he served as a contributing columnist for many newspapers and currently writes monthly pieces for The Durango Telegraph. A poetry chapbook, Thought Experiments (Maverick Press, 1998), won the Southwest Poet Series. His first full length poetry book, The Home Atlas (WordTech Editions), appeared in 2009. Unsolicited Press released his newest poetry collection, Little Acres, in 2019. An edition of selected essays, How Delicate These Arches, was chosen as a finalist for the Colorado Book Award in the category of Creative Nonfiction and is available in ebook editions. Feelasophy: Selected Essays (SayYesQuickly, 2025) is his most current release publication.
