David Gray’s lifelong fascination with wild places has its roots in childhood summers spent on his grandfather’s farm in Northern Ireland. In his early twenties, after graduating from Cambridge University, acute wanderlust took him to Indonesia where he spent ten years working and travelling in Borneo, Sumatra, Java and Bali. After returning to Europe, he entered the world of ELT publishing, coauthoring more than fifty textbooks and travelling extensively in Central and South America. David currently lives in a small village near the mountains in central Spain with his Indonesian wife and five dogs. 'Words from a Wild Place' is his first travel memoir. His recurring dream (soon to become reality?) is to return to Borneo and retrace the steps of his original journey. Watch this space!
