DAVID RICHARD THOMPSON is an American/Canadian business owner, entrepreneur, humanitarian, and multi-disciplinary artist. He is Co-Founder and President of the WFPF- World Freerunning Parkour Federation, Co-Founder/Secretary General of the IPF-International Parkour Federation (a 501c3 non-profit), a Creator & Executive Producer of “The World Parkour Championship”, a Co-Founder and Advisor of USA Parkour and the USA Parkour Cup, a co-creator and Executive Producer of MTV’s ULTIMATE PARKOUR CHALLENGE, and the creator and chairman of IPF’s “Peace Through Parkour” Global Education Initiative. David was born in Beirut, Lebanon to American & Canadian parents, and was raised and lived in 6 countries by the age of 25, including living more than once in both Morocco and France, which he considers his second homes. David has been creatively involved in television, film, music & photography for the past 30 years, as an actor, producer, director, and singer/songwriter, having played opposite actresses Geena Davis, Jenna Elfman, and Peri Gilpin on the sitcom “Frasier” when he had VERY long hair. As a mentor & teacher, David worked for many non-profits working with youth in the Los Angeles area. He also served as a consultant to RKO’s non- profit “The Story Project” where he developed a gang prevention film program, mentoring at-risk youth in East L.A. for several years. Fun fact, David is the creator and writer of the children’s book “Parkour Power Tots” and the accompanying children’s album by the same name, for which he wrote and recorded a collection of original songs which will be available on all music platforms starting in December of 2024. David is a board member and volunteer since 2015 for “Second Families” refugee resettlement organization of Southern California. Other fun facts: David's birth certificate is in both Arabic and English so he has two given names, "Da'ud" and "David", he owned a boutique catering company and cooked for Hollywood's celebrity elite, and he also owned a boutique fashion and celebrity photography production company where he worked with global fashion brands, publications, and photographers.
