David Ashby

I presently living in Greensboro, North Carolina. I am very active in several local environmental groups such as Blue Ridge Defense League and Good Stewards of Rockingham Country. I have a BS from Western Kentucky University in Geography, with a double minor in History and Sociology. After serving two years in the United States Navy aboard the USS Forrestal, an Air Craft Carrier, I went back to school and earned my secondary teaching certification. I taught American History and world Geography in the Kentucky school systems in the early Nineties. My hobbies include Snow skiing, White water rafting, Hiking and camping. I enjoy the great beauty of North Carolina and has a tremendous desire to preserve the environment for future Generations. I am the proud father of three sons, Kyle 36, Matt 22, and Ryan 19; all three are serving proudly in the United States Military.
