Deb Lancashire has been a passionate educator for 40 years and is a two-time teacher of the year. Her experiences include teaching 4th grade, severe behavior kindergarten through 3rd grade, all subjects in grades 6-8, and high school algebra. She has taught in rural, urban, and international settings. Through master’s degrees in curriculum development and educational leadership, along with a passion for brain-based learning strategies, she has developed techniques and practices that have elevated the learning of over 2000 students. She is a national board-certified teacher. Deb loves to travel and experience the world's cultures, especially nature, art, food, and architecture. She has a file of over 50 pictures of cool doors found throughout many cities. Her hobbies of dot painting and zentangle drawing have led to the creation of Art Deco journals and composition books. The composition books and journals are listed under her pen name, DJ Miller. Deb is also a track and field masters' athlete and enjoys training for the hammer throw, discus, shotput and javelin events.
