Deborah Allison

Dr Deborah Allison is a London-based cinema programmer and an associate research fellow at De Montfort University’s Cinema and Television History Research Institute (CATHI). She is the author of Film Title Sequences: A Critical Anthology (2021), The Cinema of Michael Winterbottom (2012) and co-author of The Phoenix Picturehouse: 100 Years of Oxford Cinema Memories (2013). Her other writings about film appear in more than twenty books and journals, including Film International, Literature Film Quarterly, M/C Journal, Quarterly Review of Film and Video, Screen, Senses of Cinema, and The Schirmer Encyclopedia of Film.
