Debra M. Strauss is Professor of Business Law at Fairfield University Charles F. Dolan School of Business, where she teaches courses in business law, international law, and ethics. A graduate of Yale Law School (J.D.) and Cornell University (B.A. Psychology), Debra Strauss served as a Federal law clerk for two clerkship terms (Chief Judge, Southern District of New York); in private practice at a prominent New York law firm; and as the founding director of the judicial clerkship program at Yale Law School. She also directed and authored the National Judicial Clerkship Study on behalf of the National Association for Law Placement and the American Bar Association. Professor Strauss is a consultant and author of numerous articles on the courts, judicial clerkships, and diversity issues, as well as the definitive book, Behind the Bench: The Guide to Judicial Clerkships. Her scholarship includes notable publications on genetically modified organisms, food safety, and global security.
