Delores Topliff

关于作者

From Washington State but also spending years in Canada and now dividing her time between Minnesota and Mississippi, Delores writes in several genres. In 2021, two of her historical novels were published by Scrivenings Press. Books Afloat, in January 2021, describing a brave young woman operating a floating library for Columbia River residents in WWII while participating in undercover surveillance of Japanese activity on the river. Christmas Tree Wars is Romeo and Juliet happening between two feuding Wisconsin Christmas tree farms in 1966. Only one farm can win the national contest to supply the White House Christmas Tree Lady Bird Johnson will decorate, but the young couple’s happy ending helps both families and the town rediscover the reason for the season all year round. It was released October 1, 2021. Wilderness Wife, describing the courageous early life of Canadian frontier abandoned wife and mother, Marguerite Wadin McKay, before she married Dr. John McLoughlin and they later established Fort Vancouver, Washington. It will be released in February 2022. Delores’s requested Israel Travelogue, Israel on a Budget for all ages, A Traveling Grandma’s Guide to Israel—Plan your trip for around $100 per day after airfare, is in her agent’s hands for placement with a publisher. Many of her true life experience stories appear in Guidepost, Revell, Bethany House, and James Stuart Bell Anthologies. Her popular true children's book, Whoosh, was followed by her beautifully illustrated rhymed children's adventure, Little Big Chief: The Bear Hunt. Next came its stand-alone sequel, Little Chief and Ogopogo, based on an observed North American deep lake creature with more eye-witness accounts than the Loch Ness monster. Little Big Chief and his son both tame their scary enemies in ways that will surprise you. (Google and find actual Ogopogo photos and videos.) Her prize-winning fourth children's book, Woodsy the Wonder Bear, is set in Superior National Forest and a Twin Cities, MN zoo. Little Big Chief and Woodsy both won first prize in an international contest. All four books are available in print, e-books, and Kindle. Little Big Chief and Little Chief and Ogopogo are also both available as read-aloud CDs. Follow her blogs and view more titles under the Books tab on her website.
