Our new book - in fact our first book - Desert Bonds is written by an Irish father (me) and my adult son Denis. I am a recently retired Chartered Director and businessman and Denis is a documentary film producer. We recount our father and son 3,500 mile road trip Odyssey through the Middle East - Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, Palestine up to the Gates of Gaza. Its an amazing honest story of those we met and the resilience and hope they all share. Its funny too - getting a corn fixed by a Hezbollah podiatrist, loosing my phone, dancing in Damascus, attending the Easter Fire service, the harrowing Holocaust Memorial at Yad Yashem and our visit to the West Bank.
