I am a retired elementary teacher, a wife, mom and grandmother. I was first inspired to write (Chelsie Chicken's Choice) by watching our amusing flock of chickens interact with each other. Wanting to pack as much as possible into a storybook, I also added a life lesson(mistakes are not bad-they are for learning) , educational facts about chickens, my own illustrations, and a speech component (CH sounds), along with a list of those targeted words and sounds. Since I've raised monarch caterpillars for over 25 years, a story about monarchs (Wally Waits) soon followed. Wally learns patience, and includes W sounds, a word list, and educational facts about monarch caterpillars and butterflies. Before she passed, our daughter, Tiffany Brooke Bell, had uploaded her own children's story/color book, and then she uploaded my stories and illustrations to Kindle publishing. Now we honor her memory by having all proceeds from the book sales go into a KINDNESS FUND. The fund is used to purchase Thanksgiving meals at our local Missions, and to spread acts of kindness to other needs in our community and elsewhere. Our facebook page BlessedByTiffanyBrookeBell gives opportunities to share those kindnesses. As we continue to navigate our loss, my granddaughter and I have collaborated on my newest book, Samantha Sloth finds Glimmers in Grief. This book tackles the confusing emotions of grief from a child's point of view, and gives additional helpful hints and suggestions about grief at the end of the story. Like my other books, it also contains speech components,(S/TH sounds) a word list, and educational facts about sloths. We hope you enjoy our books, and your Amazon reviews are appreciated!
