Diane Paylor (b. 1971) is a native New Yorker who now calls Los Angeles her home. Her first yoga class was more than 22 years ago in a small yoga studio in Park Slope Brooklyn. After vowing “never again,” as her struggles with chronic stress, insomnia, painful hip bursitis and sciatica were making her days and nights insufferable, it was at the suggestion of a close friend that Diane rediscovered yoga and immediately fell in love. Now a 500-hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher, Diane teaches weekly hatha, yin and vinyasa classes in South Los Angeles. She is also a volunteer yoga teacher for Youth Yoga LA and Prison Yoga + Meditation where she teaches yoga in a federal prison. Diane is currently pursuing her Yoga Therapist certification via Loyola Marymount University’s Yoga Therapy Rx Program. She is committed to helping people in underserved communities discover how the practices of yoga and meditation can reduce stress and anxiety, build strength, and promote body/size positivity and acceptance.
