Diane Sirajudeen

Diane Sirajudeen is a proud American-born Malayalee who wrote "My Appa, the Chef" to celebrate the rich culture and heritage of South Indian families. Inspired by her own experiences, Diane recognized the need for more stories that reflect the traditions, values, and warmth of the South Indian community. Through this book, she hopes to create a connection for the next generation of children around the world, empowering them to embrace and take pride in their roots. While she studied and works as a nurse practitioner, her love for storytelling has always been at the heart of who she is. This heartfelt debut is her tribute to the love, food, and family that make up the heart of every Malayalee home.
