Dina McDermott was born and raised in New Jersey, but now makes her home in Seattle, Washington, where she has taught dance at Pacific Northwest Ballet School since 2001. In 1998, she received a Giraffe Award for her work in arts education/outreach with at-risk youth. In her writing, she is interested in exploring dance at the intersection of culture and movement expression.
