I'm a retired Canadian lawyer, having operated my sole practitioner law practice in the beautiful city of Belleville, Ontario from 1973 until I retired in September of 2009. Now I write novels as a hobby and have churned out more than 120 published works on Amazon. Always a proponent of quantity over quality (as you'll discover if you read any of my novels), I can now tout myself as Canada's most prolific obscure author. Many of my books are about older lawyers and I enjoy poking fun at the profession that everyone loathes. You can find out more details about each novel by clicking on that particular book. Occasionally I crank out some very original material. My most recent example is a three-novel series I've named the SECOND LIFE SERIES about a 76 year old Canadian lawyer who chooses MAID (government assisted suicide in Canada) and is revived the next day as a 30 year old American version of himself who still retains all his 76 year old memories and attitudes. The main character attempts to find fulfilment and love in the USA despite his unique impairment. I didn't get many opportunities to let my imagination out to play during my law career. For those readers who enjoy continuing series, there are a few main lawyer series in my repertoire. The latest is the WEIRD LAWYER SERIES comprising 3 novels so far. The SLIMY LAWYER SERIES consists of 6 books and the VANISHING LAWYER SERIES sports 6 separate stories. Some of my most recent books are in a new action and mystery series I call the UNDERCOVER HILLBILLY MYSTERY SERIES. I have penned 6 shorter novels in this series which so far seems to be quite popular with readers on Amazon. A few recent novels are GOOD SAMARITAN LAWYER, CARJACKED LAWYER (A Travel Nightmare), LAWYER HEAVEN, REVILED LAWYER and TRAILER PARK REVENGE (Crime Thriller). I also began a supernatural series. So far there are three short novels, HAUNTED FUNERAL HOME #1 (GORGEOUS GHOST) and HAUNTED FUNERAL HOME #2 (GHOST DETECTIVES) and HAUNTED FUNERAL HOME #3 (IRRATIONAL GUILT TRIP). My best-selling novels, in addition to the entire UNDERCOVER HILLBILLY series, are "THE LAWYER WHO HATED MONEY (A COZY MYSTERY)" and "STUBBORN LAWYER (A CANADIAN MYSTERY)" and "DISCARDED LAWYER (BUT NOT DEAD YET)." I have two action/adventure series. The first is the TY WARD ADVENTURE SERIES which has 10 novels. The other is the WARD JONES ACTION SERIES which has 2 novels so far. For readers who enjoy romance novels, the following are some of my own best works even though none of them have sold very well. Romance is a massively popular genre which so far I haven't been able to crack. I published on Amazon 13 short novels under the pen name DURWARD GARBAGE. Now that tiny and rare breed of readers who enjoy the writing style of Donald W. Desaulniers can treat themselves to several more of his novels. "Durward" and I especially recommend "TOO RICH, TOO YOUNG" and "ALMOST A LAWYER." "Durward's" most imaginative novel is ANGELA SEVEN (A COGNITIVE ROBOT) which I highly recommend. As an additional surprise, I also published 12 novels under the pen name of LANCE MAJESTIK. I had planned on making Lance totally anonymous but the little bugger recently published "UNDERCOVER TRUCKER (AN AMERICAN MYSTERY) and that novel blew all of my own sales records out of the water. It was quite embarrassing. Now I'm going to try to attract some of Lance's many fans to try my own novels. I never expected to be hanging on to his coat-tails. Donald Desaulniers
