Donna Parrey is a Pinellas-county Florida author and an experienced researcher and business writer who has turned her skills toward creating a fun reading experience for her audience. In her most recent book, SIXTIES: A Journey Through and To, she combines her love of life with her love of writing by sharing stories and reflections of being a baby boomer child, growing into adulthood, and maturing into a senior … a journey through the 1960s and into her sixties. The book's target audience is baby boomers and those who love them. “I’m hoping that my memories will trigger their memories,” says Parrey. As a pet adopter, Parrey combined her love of the arts and her love of animals in her first children’s book, The MuttCracker, featuring 15 breeds of dogs in the re-imagining of the classic holiday story. “My research into various dog breeds felt like I was holding virtual auditions for the various roles I wanted to fill for the characters in my book. I am so happy with the matches between the dogs’ various personalities and their characters, and the artist brought them all to life beautifully!” says Parrey.
