Doug Wilson

Doug Wilson is an ophthalmologist who spent his youth memorizing the backs of baseball cards and dreaming of the big leagues. A member of the Society for American Baseball Research, he has written five books. Two of his books have been named finalists for the Seymour Medal and the Casey Award as the best baseball books of the year. He has spoken at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York as part of their authors series. His latest book, Let's Play Two: The Life and Times of Ernie Banks, will be released February 15, 2019. He and his wife, Kathy, have raised three children and live in Columbus, Indiana.
