As a boy, Douglas Caleb ignored all the sensible books in the library and became hooked on ghost stories, strange mysteries and unexpected adventures. Raised on a steady diet of Doctor Who, C.S. Lewis, Enid Blyton, Susan Cooper, Alan Garner, Tintin, 2000AD, Neil Gaiman and The X Files, he spent years filling notebooks with a feast of strange and fun ideas, and is now on a mission to write books that young readers (and their parents, because he’s had experience with bedtimes) will love to read. Douglas lives with his wife and two sons in Colchester, where life can be as weird as you want it to be.
