Dr. Sung Yun (Ashley) Chung is an Assistant Professor and Program Director for the Marketing Program at Fisher College. As her life goal is to share knowledge through practical and academic learning, Ashley gained expertise in the industry before joining Fisher College. She has ten years of work experience in a variety of departments at five-star hotels, seven years as a branding consultant and researcher, five years as a university lecturer, and two years as a professional columnist. In addition, she was a founding member of a start-up in South Korea. Ashley enjoys exploring, experiencing, learning about brands, and developing cases the most. She uses case studies and qualitative research methods focused on branding strategy and design management research, specifically emphasizing hospitality and retailing (both brick-and-mortar and in the metaverse). She writes not only academic papers but also business journals and has presented her works at international conferences, including the Global Brand Conference, COBIIR (International Colloquium on Corporate Branding, Identity, Image, and Reputation), the DMI (Design Management Institute) Conference, and AHTMM (Advances in Hospitality and Tourism Marketing and Management) conference.
