I'm a physician and writer here on America's North Coast. My writing has appeared regionally in MinnPost, Star Tribune, Pioneer Press, and Minnesota Monthly; and nationally in the Washington Post, Slate, Huffington Post, Next Avenue, MarketWatch, Forbes, Sojourners, Annals of Internal Medicine, and KevinMD. I'm a primary care doctor, board certified in internal medicine, but I work exclusively with hospitalized patients, making me what's often termed a "hospitalist." I enjoy the challenge of trying to communicate complex medical information in a way that people can understand, enjoy, and remember.
