Dr. Hedva Barenholtz Levy PharmD

Hedva Barenholtz Levy is a pharmacist and educator. She received her doctor of pharmacy degree and a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from the University of Michigan. Over 25 years ago, Dr. Levy founded a unique senior care pharmacy practice in St. Louis, Missouri, through which she educates patients, caregivers, clinicians, and other caregiving professionals about the safe and effective use of medications in older adults. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in the medical and pharmacy literature on topics related to safe and effective medication use and is the co-author of two book chapters. Maybe It’s Your Medications is her first book. Through it, she brings to the forefront decades of experience in working with older individuals in their homes to help them better understand the medications they take and how to take them more safely.
