When teaching primary school-age children to read, Dr. JAM taught them through singing the rules of phonics, Math times tables, musical notes, history, and geography. The children would sing until there was nothing left to sing. As a young teenager, Dr. JAM loved reading Shakespeare and the ancient poets—how lyrical were the lines of poetry of ancient England and of our own. When she first began teaching young children, she enjoyed reading children’s literature to the masses she would assemble each day after lunch, reading aloud to them for 15-20 minutes each day. The rhyming verse of children’s literature would hold them spellbound as she dramatized their fantasy and play. She proceeded to expand the world of teaching children through applying the rules of phonics—the sounds of our English language—from historical travel and journeys to world events. Doctorate & 161 graduate credits in Human Development, School Psychology, Counseling, Administration & Supervision; 40 years in education as Teacher; Supervisor; Principal; School Superintendent; Curriculum & Instruction Director, PreK-12; publisher; author; host of Radio Broadcast on Education, DR. JAM could be anyone’s mother, grandmother, dearest friend. With your help, Dr. JAM wants to make life a little easier for our families as they help children to learn, think, read, value, grow--to become inspired and equipped for the future. Happy Adventuring with LOVE TO OUR FAMILIES & ALL OUR CHILDREN!
